Dick Foran - Sons of the Pioneers

(1936)

The Sons of the Pioneers were hired as musical backup in the Dick Foran films and appeared close-up only at dances, etc, where they accompanied Foran or when Roy called the square dances. It is interesting to note that, although Bob did not sing solo in any of the Sons of the Pioneers' parts, his unaccompanied voice was heard dubbed in for a hired villain singing "Vengeance" in "Song of the Saddle". The Sons of the Pioneers joined Foran six years later in the Dr. Peppter "10-2-4 Ranch" radio shows.

Note: MOONLIGHT ON THE PRAIRIE (Warner Bros / Foran - 1935)  Moonlight on the Prairie used Bob Nolan and Tim Spencer's song as both title and title song of a film but the Sons of the Pioneers did not appear in it.
