Introduction: This is a good movie for Roy Rogers - good storyline, good acting and one great song, "Ol' Faithful". The Sons of the Pioneers appear in most scenes and Bob has some dialogue. Yakima Canutt is second unit director.

Plot: Gabby refuses to breed his horse (the Golden Sovereign) with Roy's Lady. When the Sovereign and Lady break out and escape, Skoville shoots the Sovereign by mistake but Roy is blamed and jailed. Three years or so later Roy returns with Trigger, the son of the Sovereign. When Skoville slips and reveals he was present when the horse was shot, Roy sees a chance to clear his name.
