TUMBLING TUMBLEWEEDS (recording dates, etc, courtesy of Ian Sparrow)

Tumbling Tumbleweeds has been recorded by dozens of artists over the years, each one arranging the song in his own way.  The Sons of the Pioneers themselves used several different arrangements. It has become part of American folk music.

* You'll hear an elderly Hugh Farr in this recording, "Campfire Melodies - Flying X Ranch Hands".

We are greatly indebted to Roberto Costa (Brazil) for most of the recordings, and to OJ Sikes (New Jersey), Anne & Peter Greb (Germany), Michelle Sundin (Texas), Bob Serkey (NJ), Larry Hopper (NJ), John Fullerton (MO), Dick Goodman (AZ), Ian Sparrow (UK) and countless fans for sending us so many examples of Tumbling Tumbleweeds. Thanks, too, to all the artists who generously allowed us to use their recordings. A special thanks to OJ and Roberto for spending all those hours cleaning old tracks for us.
